Surreal apt.

The admiration for the original design of this urban Athenian floor-through apartment of the 60’s was the key point of its renovation.

With the main desire to preserve the exquisite elements of the original design, the main materials and custom furniture were refreshed, while a master bedroom with an en suite bath was added to the primary layout. the kitchen area transferred from the back side of the apartment to the front zone on order to get connected with the dining area and the living room.

The alternating use of two warm tones of peach and a retro shade of blue on the walls of the rooms and the repetition of the same pattern on the furniture and accessories form a homely atmosphere with a retro touch. Black metal constructions designed especially for the space to accompany the old wooden installations of the space. The ambience is elevated by the choice of Scandinavian design objects and the surrealistic illustrations of Haritini Gritzali.
